The Yellow Priests and The Lullaby Process…

SayNothing

As you all know, I am waiting to hear from the powers that be who are reading over Greetings. If they choose not to publish it, I have another power publisher who will be reading it in August. Fingers crossed.

Development of the story: I prefer to think of myself as a visual artist who writes, rather than a writer who illustrates, so the imagery is being created first, rather than the writing.  This is an abstract approach of which I am trying to develop. It takes on a different point of view rather than the typical comic/graphic novel approach. Hopefully it will all come together and  make sense. If not, then I’ll have a bunch of pretty pictures that will have words attached to them. Sort of like small scale graffiti.

The Z Factor Blog: good article on Kathy Griffin and my upcoming shows.

Again stay tuned…more to come once I land this sucker on it’s feet.

  1. Thank you for stating what you did in the above – clarifying you’re “a visual artist who writes, rather than a writer who illustrates.” I am as well. The imagery comes first, then the words. I think that’s why we’re artists. We see images easily, they come to us. Words, secondarily. That’s why I wanted to become an Art Therapist. There are so many people in the world that have no words for their internal state that can only be expressed through a visual medium.
And I must add that your drawings/illustrations are developing and evolving so beautifully, they just keep getting better and better. You’re a true artist that feels the pulse of the world around us and can create the perfuckt imagery for what we’re all feeling. The Yellow Priests and the Lullaby Process is spectacular! Really.
Eagerly awaiting to hear that Greetings has been picked up! It deserves to be.
